Love the throwaway thing. Yay! I'm so good at trying so hard, it's practically my middle name. I work with ski students to not be perfect, so I guess I need a teacher, also, to help me out here! Thanks!

perfection is not only the enemy of the good, it's the enemy of confidence and motivation and enjoyment, for most of us!

This concept could come in useful with my music also. How nice to not have to be brilliant every freaking time I play the piano, guitar, drum, or flute. My mom was very jealous of my musical gifts, and I won’t let that silence my music any longer. Even if God and my cats are my only audience.

Thank you, Allegra, Navé, for showing me how I can write unimportant imperfect "throw-away" words, sentences, paragraphs, thoughts and survive —even sharing them with others, as well as hearing myself say them doesn't hurt. Sometimes, it turns out that the "nonsense" that comes out of my pen, onto my paper, then out of my mouth is actually good, even perhaps usable. But for me discovering that writing can be fun, that sharing is not devastating, that it all is a new adventure every time is the best thing I've learned. And how I look forward to my Saturday mornings—my playtime, my funtime on Imaginatve Storm!
